The Hub’s home, 409B is located on the fourth floor of the St James Campus of George Brown College. We act as an early stage incubator for the socially innovative projects of students in the Community Services and Deaf/Blind Studies.
So what does that mean exactly?
It means students can bring their passions, thoughts, and ideas and begin to fine tune as well as connect with resources needed to further develop into a social enterprise or innovative project. The Hubsters – as we affectionately call ourselves – strongly believe in the quote “If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.”
We have been fortunate enough to have the support of the diverse departments and staff members throughout the college. We were given a space that was recently renovated to fit our needs. From the development of a founder’s wall to a business card bulletin to inspiring quotes posted around the room, we have managed to use our creative abilities to turn an empty renovated space into a place that all future Hubsters and partner can call home!
Whether you have an idea or just want to stop by to say “Hi”… We welcome all students, faculty and friends to visit us from Monday to Friday between 9:30 am and 4pm. Come see what the all the buzz is about!
